义乌—印度经贸推介会圆满落幕

On the afternoon of June 3, the "Yiwu-India" Economic and Trade Promotion Conference (Special for Stationery) was successfully concluded at the Yiwu International Expo Centre, which is hosted by Bureau of Commerce of Yiwu City and the Organising Committee of the China Yiwu Stationery and Gift Exhibition, and jointly undertaken by the Yiwu Cultural Articles Industry Association and the Indian Customer Service Center. Zhu Xiaotang, deputy director of Bureau of Commerce of Yiwu City, attended this event and delivered a speech.

This event is for the purpose of Zhejiang stationery enterprises overseas investment, a total of 8 stationery enterprises from Zhejiang province, more than 30 Indian businessmen, more than 100 foreign trade industry personnel have participated. The exhibitors explained in detail the product matrix, existing export scale, selling points and core competitiveness of products, and three of them reached preliminary cooperation intention in the negotiation process.

Zhu Xiaotang, Deputy Director of Commerce Bureau of Yiwu City, said in the opening speech: "The economic and trade exchanges between Yiwu City and India have become increasingly frequent and intensive. From January to April of 2023, the total import and export volume between Yiwu City and India has reached 8.64 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 11.3%. India has accounted as the second largest trading country for Yiwu City. We will jointly promote trade exchanges between China and India through the linkage between CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) and enterprises."

Huang Changchao, President of Yiwu Cultural Products Association, said that trading with Indian is also very important to Yiwu City, and It is an inevitable trend of future development that we will enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of Zhejiang stationery enterprises and export more goods to India.

Du Yuegang, director of the Indian Customer Service Center, said on the conference: "Our service center has more than ten counselors, who can provide India investors with consulting services including entry and exit, investment, accounting, finance, law, dispute coordination and so on. We will bridge a link between Yiwu City and India through events, training and activities with other forms. We will not only help Indian investors do business and live in Yiwu City better, but also help small and medium-sized enterprises in Yiwu City go abroad and start their own businesses."
